We are a passionate and deep feeling family embracing every spiritual walk you can think of. It is essential that all are able to speak freely, from their hearts, in sinc with their belief systems. No one should feel proselytizing is in play, it is like gender, who we are without criticism, celebrating both diversity and freedom.
So please take nothing as personal, respect everyone's needs, be sensitive and outspoken and uncensored.
If I may be so bold as to say it.
Blessings

I aspire to the tripartite view of humankind which says that we are made up of a body, soul and spirit. The body being the flesh and blood part of our being, the soul being our personality and intellect, and the spirit being the intangible life force from God that energizes and bonds it all together. Most of us are well aware of the body and soul aspect of ourselves but the spirit is yet another thing that I'm sure many of us miss simply because we are unaware or too busy to consider it's existence and relevance, but without it we would cease to exist. Let me suggest that all of the concepts concerning our inner being that we have discovered and talk about here have come to us through the prompting of the spirit within each of us.

I'm sort of a spiritual atheist, I suppose... It feels odd to put it that way. At my core I don't believe in anything supernatural. I'm naturally skeptical of such things without hard, empirical evidence. But on the other hand, I enjoy romanticizing things a bit and wondering if there may be something beyond death at times. I guess I'm sort of a contradiction, but I like it that way.

Nice to know you can believe like you wish and not have someone walking all over your toes here trying to argue or cram something down your throat. It's all about mutual R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Probably best described as spiritual rather than religious. Attracted by the concepts, always looking for proof of a higher being and life purpose but some days I am sure and the next day I am not.

did you ever study zen buddhism, ativan?
i've stopped believing in time as linear. perception of time is almost never similar from one person to another. the future can be known before it happens, so how can we know that's not the past in another perception of time?
but these are more philosophical aspects of it. i am christian, and find value in believing in a merciful god who became human so he could erase the sins of humanity with his own death. other people seem to find other values in this religion, something that can justify hurting another person. i don't agree, but that's not a discussion to take here. they have a right to exist and believe as well.

spiritual deist christian here. sometimes i do need some spiritual refreshing. though for me, things are less mystical or magical. spiritual food to me is more psychological, with a tiny bit of supernatural.
