I am amazed at the quality, diversity, selflessness and longevity of so many here. The caring hearts, the wise survivors, the outstanding worldwide life experience we share.
It is a table of the finest kind, filled with the wine and compassion born of pain and helping others through theirs.
The best of the best are here, the are no mods, no rules, only guiding love, forgiveness, and above all, hope.
It is a gift of the finest kind, a diamond circular necklace of trans, of inestimable value, dazzling in the sun, glittering in the dark.
The table and the hearts are wide open, join in the joy.
A thread to share gratitude for the people of the forum, for those who made it possible, for the priceless sons, daughters, and blended ones of trans.
Love to all here.

SJ, I'm very grateful for you in particular. Whenever I needed help, you've always been at the forefront, ready to offer it. A lot of people in this world are all talk, but you're someone who is actually there when the chips are down. I have so much respect for you, and I hope your day is filled with the love you always show to others.

What..? I didn't do nothing...I just love everyone. You sent PMs to someone extremely dear to me twice when I was unable to, even though I think it made you uncomfortable to go back to that site to do so the first time, and you also offered me comfort and gave me your email address when I was really upset a couple months ago. That's what you did. And it means a lot to me. <3

It is an amazing bond actually.
We here have grown together, as a part of each others lives, in such a positive way. We have had the courage to leave unhealthy environments together, and continue growing and spreading our understanding and unconditional love to each other, and anyone who sincerely joins us.

What..? I didn't do nothing...I just love everyone. That is a selfless act for one of your family members, good on you too sweetie, because that's the sort of thing that gets your mind off of your own stuff for awhile and adds a lot to your own creds as a valued part of a big extended family.

Our lives touch others and we never really know how much we help.
Folks just logging in make a difference.
Because they just wanted to log in.
You never really know the full effects of living your truth. And then, somewhere, somehow, a life is saved, a life is changed, a lonely heart is comforted, a hand is extended. And the ripples of our lives go on and on.
That is why you are all diamonds.

you're just too sweet, mariah.
wisdom isn't really the most important part of this forum. the unconditional love that i see here is. there are things that we disagree on, but that doesn't stop us from being friends and being here for each other.

OMG this thread is so sweet its giving me diabetes. But seriously, some talk about diversity. Some talk about how our differences can strengthen our bonds. Some talk a lot of crap. :rolleyes:When we can accept, love, and befriend those with different lives than our own, different beliefs than our own, different backgrounds than our own and so own, then we truly embrace diversity and figure out it doesn't divide us but can make us so much stronger. OK so I grew up different than Jayce and Taka. I live in a different area than Shan and Julie and others. I share different beliefs than Mark and Trinity and probably everyone else. We are all different in all areas and embracing that and having pride in that and respecting others is no little feat. This is the way the whole of the human race should be but doesn't seem like they can be. Do we really need to teach everyone in the human race? Even those on other sights? It's not about being man or woman. Its not about being trans or cis. Its not about being nonbinary or binary. It is all about being a human being. Respecting others for their own humanity no matter what. Accepting people unconditionally. OK so I may call him a her or her a him? Correct me without malice. Give and take and a lot of understanding. We should be the models of society. This sight and the people here should be what society models itself off of. Unfortunately it doesn't though. So we are the "bastards and bitches" of society. But one little secret though. This sight and how we all interact with one another, and even though I have pissed some people off and apologized truly and was ore or less hugged back with words, this is hos society should be. Face it people. We are the new society. Society will eventually go in our direction but old habits and hates die hard. It is changing though. It is coming our way. I know some seedy people and what was MTF getting people excited, there are more FTMs in the mix. Just hold on. Society changes but the changes are slow. OK so just one question. So as a MTF nonbinary I like guys whether cis or FTM. Why do so many FTM like cis guys? Not to be disrespectful or insulting, just curious. Only thing I have to go by is me and being more MTF and liking guys too. But transguys are so freaking irresistable, even more so than cis guys. Just curious. No offense intended, sorry if it does offends but I really am curious.

Jamie, I dunno about society coming our way anytime soon. There are still an awful lot of places where I am despised as unnatural, but you are right about trans guys. I'm not sure why they are so sexy, but they are. Oh its changing slowly but surely. I have seen it change during my lifetime. I mean we have a trans model. A trans TV star. A trans reality show star or used to be anyway. If she don't go to jail after her mess up over the weekend. But it is changing. Maybe not as fast as we would like it but slowly and surely. Guys are hot whether Trans or not. Attitude means a lot to me. I love guys and I love girls but in totally different ways.

There are still an awful lot of places where I am despised as unnatural. Don't want to hijack the thread but I don't think it's so much despised as it is confused curiosity. After gym this morning I ran down to the local Dutch bakery and bought a loaf of freshly baked sourdough/garlic bread. Got my gym clothes on and a swath of bandana tied under my hair in back looking like a grey haired carrot top. Four big young fellows in hard hats were standing in line behind me, the closest one grinning at me. Initially I'm thinking, 'If you young boys had seen and been through my life you'd wipe that silly grin off your faces" So I pointed to a tray of fabulous apple fritters and told them, "You guys ought to try one of them with your coffee, they're pretty damned good!" The lead guy said "Thanks" and they all ordered an apple fritter. Most are like these guys, confused and somewhat curious, and when you initiate conversation the dynamics change.

Jamie, I dunno about society coming our way anytime soon. There are still an awful lot of places where I am despised as unnatural, but you are right about trans guys. I'm not sure why they are so sexy, but they are. Oh don't worry about that. That is definitely something that is not limited to being trans. I never could find a "respectable" job because I have long hair as a guy. I could get a job at Guitar Center though. Only problem they don't pay worth a crap. The kind of music I play some people would consider me unnatural, maybe even a little evil? The music also causes me to be despised among other groups. The thing is that if you are different from the majority then they will not accept you no matter what. Maybe we as a group as in being transgendered scare them because of something inside themselves that they despise. So it may not be you they despise but rather themselves because we remind them that they may have the same feelings but are too afraid to confront their feelings. It's just a though much like the gay bashers of old hated gays because a lot of them had homosexual tendencies themselves. I think they bashed gays because that was the part of themselves that they hated. About diversity on a philosophical level, that is probably the one thing that has allowed the human race to survive as long as it has. The diversity in the gene pool is a good thing. Although sometimes two bad genes to line up but for the most part though it is a fail safe to certain conditions. More often than not though too many people just can't embrace diversity in society but that has to do with the human ego more than anything else. Thus the reason I never judge anyone by anything they do as long as they don't hurt another person. All this time society gives us a rash of crap but it is society that could learn from us.
