Wow , this post was back in Dec, 2015!!! Well looks from what I've heard it is about to be posted or on the way. If not I'll think I'll take my mail lady hostage .....ok, on second thought that just might not be a good idea. My spouse swears that my mail lady has a crush on me, so recently after one of her adoring comments about my hair I told her that I felt like pulling her out of her vehicle and doing her on the lawn, she laughed and said, "Oh you've just made my day!" What a gal, but on second thought we don't do those things to Federal employees....gah!

Ahhhhh Shan, you have just given me new avenues to aspire to. She cute and fun too! I am very very rural though and attitudes are quite different here. If I was to say something like this, after unsuccessful revival, I would probably have to call "Mail Lady Removal." My finances's are slim also, so I could not afford 'another' bill to pay. So I think I'll will stick with my original idea of hostage, benefits include: fun, sex, money, adrenaline. What could possibly go wrong? Will have have to come up with a new reason though, I got the book My mail lady is in her 30's, nice slim figure, extremely friendly and would qualify in anyone's book as hot. Most importantly, she has a great sense of humor, can take a joke that might be considered a bit risqué by any other woman and she is just a very nice person. Even though this is a driving route, she often comes to the front porch to deliver small bagged packages that anyone else would just stuff in the mailbox. I know that she likes to chat with old Auntie Shan who is kind, friendly, outgoing and a hell of a flatterer. It's all about knowing when you've earned the right to say certain things to the other person, and I always let the lady give me the cues on that stuff. I used to have fun at places like Starbucks or the grocery store when a woman would make eye contact and smile, I'd smile back and before long we're exchanging pleasantries. Did that last week at a Safeway wine tasting event, we talked for well over 30 minutes and the lady gave me a hug as we were leaving. At an earlier time when I was single, it would have been a sure prelude to a date. Nowadays I avoid eye contact for the most part because for some reason, like my wife says, I seem to attract some real nut cases that want to glom on to me. But it can be fun if you're single and just feel like initiating a good conversation and making a possible future friend.

Gotcha, my comment about mail lady heart attack was more humor than anything. I would say ditto, with a capitol ditto on all you said, everything you said rings true for me as well. With the exception of having a wife, unless of coarse I'm split personality, then I suppose I'm having more fun that I thought :-). Annnnnnnyways life is good, I'm enjoying all those brief encounters in places like you said, and even though none have led to anything more, these things make life fun, fun, fun. Right now my garden stuff is occuping allllll my time. I have almost 800 pots filled waiting for tree seeds, about 300 have been planted, and oh probably 150 have sprouted. I know this went far afield from the original post but I'm always in that far away field anyway. Now to take time for reading the above book. Have the best day Shan, Dani P.S. I placed a pic of the book (the red one) and one of the pots. I suppose after a time I'll come back and delete this thread, no sense in wasting server space. Just cleaned up my big Koi pond as the giant Gunnera and other pond side plants are erupting back into life. The Garden Princess is hard at work replacing a few plants that didn't survive in spite of the mild winter. A couple of Mallards I call "Ted and Alice" dropped by for their annual mating season swim in the pond.

Sounds nice, Koi would not last but a few days here, but I'd love to have some gunnera....someday when I not so busy and I actually have some of that $$$ stuff. Ted and Alice provide a once yearly show huh? Nice, :-) Will have to keep an eye open for exhibitionist ducks around here. I deleted the pics, felt a little odd putting them up without permission.

I've been wondering about what it is you are doing with all those plants, do you have a tree farm?
