I think a lot of people find it's too easy to worry about the mental or spiritual state of others and react in a way which isn't helpful to the other person. I think we've all had experiences in our lives when someone has gone and told us X,Y, and Z and it has been harmful (ie: you'll go to hell for accepting that you're trans*) or have unintentionally done the same to others. One of the most important aspects (to me at least) of Sikhi is how everything is about changing yourself and thus it then effects
(at the very least your perception of) the world in a positive way.
Maan jeete jag jeet (change your mind, change the world).
The only way we can help our fellow beings live happier and healthier lives is to work on ourselves first. If we're in a state of bliss, that seeps to those around us.
