There's a reason why wizards and sorcerers and sibyl seers use their hands when depicted in movies. There is a very direct connection between the mind (the orchestra) and the hand (the conductor).
Think of the writer as a magician, spell-ing words. The more you make that relationship organic, the more energy they retain. Writing these little musings online with a keyboard may bring across some insight, but soon enough they disappear into the digital ether.
The written word, by way of ink and paper, takes on a life of its own. The act of writing, itself, stimulates that connection. Always carry with you a journal, and always write with a pen. Making your own ink would be ideal, as well. Personalise the process as much as possible. Make your writing a holy ritual.
You are more than a writer. You are a Creator. Each letter is an atom; each word, a cell; each sentence, a vein; each paragraph, an organ; each chapter, a limb; and each journal, a living being. Allow for scribbles and scratches as they give your creation character.
And as they may eventually yellow and break so may they find their rest in the Heavens of the greatest libraries.
