In two days US State of Virginia will consider a law of no service to gays. I have copied an email I received from All Out. I signed & shared on my Facebook page. allout.org Andre and Jeremy, All Out <info@allout.org> 2 days to stop a law in the US that could allow doctors to deny treatment to gay people. We have 2 days to stop a law in the United States that could allow doctors to deny treatment to gay people. Sign to urge the voting committee to stop it: SIGN Imagine being rushed to the hospital but refused treatment because of who you are. In 2 days, the US state of Virginia will consider a law that allows doctors, teachers, and all companies to deny service to gay, lesbian, and bi people under the guise of “religious or moral conviction”. The bill is going to a critical vote. If we succeed this week in convincing members of the committee to vote ‘no’, it will never see the light of day. We need a giant and global public outcry right now to show the committee that citizens in the US and around the world are paying attention. The vote is looming - the next 2 days are crucial to stop the bill so we need to go All Out. Can you add your name to this petition to tell the voting committee to say no to this anti-gay bill? We’ll urgently deliver the signatures to each committee member right away: go.allout.org/en/a/virginia/ This law applies to schools and hospitals but also restaurants and other businesses. It could allow teachers to refuse to have gay students in their classes or let movie theaters ban people they even perceive to be gay. Together, we’ve beat laws like this before - in another US state, Arizona, an outrageous bill was proposed to ban transgender people from using restrooms and locker rooms in local businesses. After thousands of us spoke out with local leaders, Arizona’s legislature was forced to dump the bill. Add your name, it only takes two minutes: go.allout.org/en/a/virginia/ Similar anti-gay bills have been popping up all over the US. Just last month, the Michigan Senate narrowly shut down another dangerous bill that would have given companies the right to say “no gays allowed”. We can shut this one down too. Sign now: go.allout.org/en/a/virginia/ Thanks for going All Out, Andre, Guillaume, Lucy, Pablo, Rose, Tile, and the rest of the All Out team P.S. More than a dozen other US states have proposed anti-gay laws that would allow discrimination in the name of "religion or moral convictions", and they keep coming. It's time to raise a massive global outcry to stop them. Without your help, these dangerous bills could continue to spread in the US, making lesbian, gay, bi and trans people targets for discrimination. Sign now to shut them down! go.allout.org/en/a/virginia/ SOURCES: US: Virginia anti-gay bill would permit discrimination against gays Anti-Gay Discrimination Bill Introduced in Virginia A New Virginia Bill Would Let Schools, Hotels, Restaurants, and Hospitals Turn Gays Away allout.org/en/

Well if Va does that, move. You are more than welcome in SE Louisiana. A lot of gays and lesbians here. Some transgenders even. Shit like this, to quote Shan, is unbelievable. Really in 2015? I really don't see it passing because that would be unhuman. Not inhumane but actually unhuman. Besides, what business is gonna' lose business because of an idiotic law? Who the hell is putting this law up? If it passes, I will kiss everyone's ass. And I don't kiss anyone's ass. That is how sure I am that it will fail. I have been to Virginia many times so I do know the state and the people. SO don't worry so much about it. Gay marriage is one thing but denying gays of everyday human services? That is ludicrous. Actually that is insanity.

Oh and be advised, that's a one way operation back there so no extra funny business.

So Virginia is for lovers, but only the normal heterosexual kind, huh?
I can't see it passing and if by some strange chance it did, just like a lot of marriage bans, it would likely end up in court at some point. I think it will be a long time before the diehard haters give up on demanding their freedom to oppress those they don't like.

Dark metal and a big catholic population=$$$$. Funny the more Satanic the band and the darker the metal, the more people will come and see you. The confessionals must really have a line on Sunday morning. Funny thing is we are or are not Satainists. Aunty Shan. You know you are always welcome. So don't get all BS on me. :rolleyes:I am a sweet pea though so don't get any funny ideas. You already have a beautiful wife, you don't need slutty bitch. I would hope that even if passed, this bill would eventually be ruled unconstitutional, under the equal protection under the law clause of the 14th Amendment, but with the flaw the founding founders not knowing people would live far beyond their best years letting Supreme Court justices serve until they die, there's no telling…but if it isn't maybe it'll be incentive for people to get out their pitchforks and finally get rid of this flaw and not let Supreme Court justices serve for more than 10 years…seriously...

Yeah, the whole justice for life thing is kind of flawed if you ask me. I mean during the founding of this country, what was the average life span, something like 50 or 60 if you were lucky. Now though, I have serious doubts of some of their ages and state of minds. I mean I know what dementia and Alzheimer's does to one's mind. But I really can't see a law like that passing. I think someone is just trying to pander to a certain group for supporting them or trying to raise funds from them. Maybe a promise was made and this politician is keeping their promise to bring the bill up. That would be a first, a politician keeping their promise. But I don't think something like that would ever go through because most people now days have loved ones that are gay somewhere in their family or know someone that is gay or has family members that are. Political posturing, that is all this is to appease some group that they rely on to get elected.

Yeah I agree along with term limits for Congress too. But let's not let this become a political thread, we all know where that leads.

Don't they have to sell their souls to be elected? I really hate politics just for the reasons for this thread, BS bills being voted on that can actually kill someone. Life is sacred, no matter who's. Even the yahoo that thought this bill up. Someone loves them just like someone loves each and everyone of us no matter what. We are all important to somebody if it's even just to ourselves. But everyone has the right to life and to live how they see fit. No matter if they live in Roanoke Va or LA Ca and all points in between. PS and the rest of the world too.
