Feeling sort of shy at the moment. I followed Auntie Shan here and see all sorts of folks I've really admired but not spoken with much. I am hoping it's ok to be here even though in another place I mostly posted in the ftm forum... or played in general threads. I don't consider myself binary even though I generally identify as ftm. I still haven't figured out how to explain that well.

/beams Hello, all. Most of you folks have probably seen me around. But for those who haven't: I'm Cameron, I'm a 22 year old loser with nice biceps and bad taste in jewelry. My strengths include eating seven hamburgers in one day and getting banned from Hallmark stores in my wayward youth. I identify as nonbinary because I am genderfluid, with my internal compass dragging me across the gender map anywhere from "man" to "agender." I'm a science person and a suspiciously left-brained sort, which, I think, sometimes puts me at odds with the more creative types I often encounter in nonbinary spaces. But I'm happy to be here, and I hope I can be interesting to y'all in some way. Well, you are already interesting to me. I like science and am super curious as to how you get banned from hallmark stores.

I like science and am super curious as to how you get banned from hallmark stores. Oh christ, so for what it's worth, I was a really good nugget in my early teens, okay? Good student, kept my nose out of trouble, etc. But there was this local hangout, real popular with the middle schoolers, and I used to go there every Friday after school. Like a shopping mall thing. And there was a Hallmark store there, which us kids would peruse while we were waiting for our frozen yogurt to thaw. I was, uh. Well, the manager called it "shockingly disrespectful" and I called it "maybe a little too snarky for my own good" lmfao. Basically, I was mocking the merchandise, and as it turns out, Hallmark employees take their stuff really seriously. I was sternly told that Hallmark "touches lives" and escorted out of the store, permanently. Four years later, my little sis had the same thing happen to her. I've honestly never been prouder.

Trinity your syntax gave you away on your first post talk to you tonight sweetheart.
I think most everyone here has at least a small clue who I am Cowpatty or Justpat.Just your plain old pot roast, taters and carrots type of NB nothing fancy. Two eyes and ears to watch and listen with and one mouth to stick my foot in. Don't really post much but do love listening to the finest people I have ever known in my life express their thoughts in a most eloquent way. Permission to come aboard--- please. Patty

Jaycee
Thank you for creating this space. I am so pleased to see so many old friends here already and look forward to many more joining us as we go forward. My story - is still unfolding. Mid 50's, birthday yesterday, known myself as NB for the last 5 years and prior to this thought I was somewhat damaged. MAAB but definitely transitioning to 'me', which is probably gender fluid with an intent to explore and express my identity. Funnily enough was severely triggered by the culture on another forum and needed to get away from the drama and the continual questioning and invalidation. Live in Sydney, am tired of the trans binarism, and like Julie just wish to swap ideas and share our journeys. Now where is Satinjoy? Quick question - could we come up with gender options other than male or female - I almost couldn't get past this?
Safe travels
Aisla

Welcome everyone! No need to thank me Aisla, it is my pleasure to help keep the family together, I felt it was the least I could do. Sorry to hear about your situation with the mods, that is awful *hugs!* Quick question - could we come up with other gender options other than male or female - I almost couldn't get past this? I was bothered by this when I first joined! I have not yet found out whether gender options can be added (will do some checking into that shortly~)...However, in the mean time, click Profile at the top of the board, Edit Profile, click the Privacy tab, Gender Visibility will give you the option of turning off the little gender symbol. I believe in the Personal tab, the "Most Recent Status" section is much like the option available on the previous forum where you could be allowed to input your desired gender in your own words. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any problems!

It works - feeling better now that I can better describe my gender and my journey - phew. Time to relax. It has been a very stressful few days.

it's possible to make the pink/blue gender marker invisible.
welcome aisla and patty!
