hello all. i was referred here by a friend that said you were phenomenal people and that i might be able to connect with some others going through the same plight as myself. tbh i shouldn't call it a plight because it's not it's just confusing. i recently came out as bigender. i never knew the term existed until i did some research on the way i was feeling. you see, i was born female but have always had male tendencies and have always been happier when tending to those tendencies. i dated a woman for a long time and whenever we were intimate i always presented as a man, when we broke up that part of me sort of went into hiding or remission or i don't know. it was still there but not active. it stayed that way for five years before it came out again just recently. i've been identifying male now for over three months or so with just a little time off in between. i guess part of me is confused because i hate my body right now with a passion and the fear is am i transgender and just dont know it? or do i just not understand bigender enough?
so confused and in pain but i hope hanging around here will give me some answers. thanks for listening. my name is Ry. (born female, and when i am identifying female my name is Cat).

You've come to the right place, take some time to look around. It's self moderated and people do get to speak their mind, but that seems to lead to a much more open and honest kind of dialogue. You're not alone here, by your description, you already fit right in. It can be a little slow on weekends, and it isn't a large forum (yet), but it is more personable than some that are out there. Look around, read what is of interest and ask away with any questions you have. Ativan

Great avatar....
There are many answers here, as you look for your truth. It will find you, if you let it. Don't fear what you find, for it will set you free.
We are few, but the depth chart of talent is Top drawer, compassion rules us all, and speaking our experience, sometimes very directly and with passion. The diversity is immense, the bonds deep, and you are most welcome here.
Pull up a chair and rest from your pain, light a fire and some insence, and enjoy the discovery of you.
Blessings

Ry
A belated welcome from Oz. Great folk here. Many fellow travellers and much experience to share and support to give. As you relax into your journey the stress starts to ease and then you can just be 'you'.
Really looking forward to your posts, perspective and thoughts. See you around the boards
Safe travels

welcome ry!
i have no answers for you. my own confusion is complete, and in the end i've decided to just look for the solution without understanding the problem first. some thngs can be fixed with just changing how you think. other things aren't that easy to change. or maybe changing how you think is actually the harder part, if you live in a place where medical treatment is fairly easily available...
there doesn't seem to be any easy or fixed answer. seems the closest you can get is learning how to live wholly and truly as you, without compromising your soul (or whatever you choose to call that essence of your being).

A little late but welcome Ry.
Phenomenal? I don't know about that. How about just Normal? We are all just normal people and nothing special other than that we feel a disconnect between body and Spirit, but still just normal.
A big heartfelt welcome from me.
