ai.eecs.umich.edu/people/conway/TS/News/News.html#Zucker A fascinating analysis of Zucker's sustained but ultimately discredited assault on those who challenged his and Blanchard's views including "ALL transitioned women are either effeminate homosexual men or mentally-ill sexually paraphilic men"

Zucker and Blanchard have arguably done more to demonize and pathologize our community, than any other member of the psychiatric profession. Folk like these have helped deny treatment for many and the education of many more. Feeling disgusted.
Safe travels

They have laws that look down on burning people tied to a stake. Yet, I can see exorcising them both by fire to destroy that kind of evil that lurks in their minds.
Psychiatrists are medical Dr's who are allowed to give you a prescription once they can declare that you have a disorder that one of them has made up. Psychologists are the people who can tell you what paths are available for you. Psychiatrists have little hands on experience besides writing out a prescription to see what happens. When all else fails, it is they who are willing to talk you into burning out neural pathways with electrical current. Psychiatrists are more likely to declare things as a disorder to support the pharmaceutical industry by writing out a prescription in the hopes that it works. Psychologists are far more likely to refer you to therapy before just declaring you have a disorder that needs medical intervention. Psychologists give you a direction, psychiatrists write you out a prescription and tell you to try it out for a month to see what side effects you have. Psychiatrists are kind of like the voodoo witch Drs of the medical industry that is supported by pharmaceutical companies. I tend to think of them as a disorder all in themselves. Perhaps a series of repeated ECT's would be beneficial to the Zucker's and Blanchard's of the medical industry. I have little faith in someone who's sum of experience is to find a drug that may or may not work, but hey, lets see what happens.
