Yeah that does suck. You do get to love her and her joy so that is a good thing. For me no kids or grandkids ever. That my dear, count yourself lucky. You have luck that I don't have. OK so my "little girl" was always out but you are still luckier than me. When I get into my 70's, well I can't make it that far. I won't let myself make it that far because there is no one to take care of me when I'm that old. I won't last that long anyway. I won't let myself get to like my dad now. Count yourself lucky that you have kids. I guess I was never man or woman enough. Gee now that I'm approaching 72 and still in my youth at around 20+ years on HRT you young whipper-snappers are wagging your heads at being a little more mature and sedate huh? Let me know when your birthday is so some of us seniors can send you a rotten fish! AH. I'll never be able to have kids so either young or old. If you old folks do send fish I do like smoke salmon because it don't go bad. Uh I know I'm all sweet and stuff but if you old folks send me Lutefisk even though it ain't rotten I will hunt everyone of you down and make you eat it. I used to work out of Minnesota and that is the nastiest stuff I have ever tasted. As a matter of fact I would rather have rotten fish than Lutefisk.. My friends there ate it because it was traditional. Not for me.

Lots of Scandinavians here and the Son's of Norway are just up the road from me, I'll tell them no Lutefisk for Jamie!

The irony here is that when acting as a a binary alpha male I was told that I was handsome but couldn't see it Now I am told that I should never had ffs etc by some (who desire the old image) but after nearly 5 yrs of low dose, beard removal etc and longer hair I am finally starting to see me. I recognize and like the person I see in the mirror I know that I will never be even close to my avatar but I will continue to focus on the positives and celebrate every sign of progress. So all good and only getting better and becoming more authentic Safe travels Aisla Why Aisla? You want pointy ears? Seriously a lot of people when they look in the mirror are way more critical than others that see us...... Believe me this isn't a trans thing either. Jamie
Yes pointy ears and the whole elf andro look would suit me just fine .. but your point is well made. We are way more self critical than others are critical of us. It may be as I moved from binary alpha male to more andro in identity and expression that like many more feminine folk I have taken more interest and pride in how I look. In fact I spent an hour or so looking at LOTR elf hair styles for Legolas etc just in case my hair is eventually long enough to rock one.
Safe travels
Aisla

I will be rocking an androgynous demon with elf ears, horns and tail at Devilles Pad, an alternate club's final night on March 21. Yes there will be pics!

The older people at the company who was the ones that convinced me to try it at a Christmas office party that I just happened to be in town. I should have listened to the younger folks and the folks around my age. My God, all it did was ruin the taste of a good beer. (puke)

You know Aisla. I believe its a combination of being more self critical of ourselves and our looks than others are and that it takes a little time to get comfortable with whatever look that you change more toward. I would liken it to changing your hairstyle. No matter how good it looks, it takes a little while to get used to. The hair is a little different and don't last as long though but I think you know what I mean.

I should have listened to the younger folks and the folks around my age. My God, all it did was ruin the taste of a good beer. (puke) Ya you betcha! I think it's soaked in lye for a time, lye is a caustic base, so I don't think it's something I'd want to ingest. (puke) Lutefisk is dried whitefish (normally cod, but ling is also used) treated with lye. The first step is soaking the stockfish in cold water for five to six days (with the water changed daily). The saturated stockfish is then soaked in an unchanged solution of cold water and lye for an additional two days. The fish swells during this soaking, and its protein content decreases by more than 50 percent, producing a jelly-like consistency. When this treatment is finished, the fish (saturated with lye) is caustic, with a pH of 11–12. To make the fish edible, a final treatment of yet another four to six days of soaking in cold water (also changed daily) is needed. Eventually, the lutefisk is ready to be cooked. In Finland, the traditional reagent used is birch ash. It contains high amounts of potassium carbonate and bicarbonate, giving the fish a more mellow treatment than would lye. It is important not to incubate the fish too long in the lye because saponification of the fish fats may occur.

Yep Shan. Lye. You know when someone that drank Soju in Korea, that is distilled from sweet potatoes and contains formaldehyde, can't stomach something. Like I said I should have listened to the younger folks or those around my age I think I was like 35 at the time. All I know is never again.

I drank more than a few Bam moi ba beers they were called 33 beer in South VN and wondered why just two would give me a splitting headache. It was said to have formaldehyde as well. But then the Aussies showed up with ice cold pint cans of Swan Lager 6% alcohol, none of that 3.2% pisswater the Americans had.

Well drinking alcohol mixed with formaldehyde, We really should live forever. Most people get trashed and tore down and we got preserved.

The only thing I really feel uncomfortable with are my boobs. Even for a female body, they are huge. I'm petite in frame and height (5'2"), but very very hourglass, so I have a 30DD bust. I need to buy those damn $70+ bras, my wallet is always crying, and I just feel like they are too much, way too much. If I ever get pregnant (which I don't want for now), I will definitely look into breast reduction surgery. Otherwise, it might not be covered by our public health insurance (since I wouldn't reduce bellow a 30C), so I couldn't get a surgery before I'm like 30 and can afford it on my own? So yeah. I realized that my discomfort with my boobs was probably a by-product of not identifying as female, so it was steaming from a desire to be less labelled as female based on my physical appearance.

Certainly no one here is going to slight you over your boobs, look they don't make up the sum total of who you are Shiro! Hopefully we are all mature enough to place a much higher value on the inner being, the real Shiro who occupies your body rather than the externals over which none of us really have much control over and which shouldn't define us anyway. We all have our anxiety stuff but most of it usually gets relegated to the [just stuff] locker and we make the best of it regardless.
