Christianitythread-What would He say at the campfire to you?

Its twilight.  The day was long, they all are.  We were all tired, so much hate around us, the legalists yelling, people running to be healed, not interested in what the Master had to say, but wanting His gifts.  Not wanting to pay the cost that is so high to receive them, yet is so inexpensive.  And so impossibly hard to give. The cost of self.


It was just us, the 12, and us.  I looked around the ring of people at the fire, some cooking, some talking.  We approached them, visitors from another time, people of another world, those of us transgendered, transformed, wounded.

And we looked at the One who made us, who was there, eating fish.  He beckons to us as we are, He saw us already, from the distant path, He knew us by name.

He reaches out His hand.  The outcasts with Him, the wild ones, the prostitute, the extorsionist, the freedom fighter, fisherman, they were all there.  They smiled when they saw us, and they wondered what the Master would do.  The one that sees the soul, reads the heart, knows it all about us, who ultimately gave Himself for us, so we could sit at another camfire, the one eternal, the feast of the marriage supper of the Lamb.

And so He calls us, as we are , in our pain, our sex, our desire, our conflict.  He calls us close, His love wraps itself around us, we feel it like a cloak, a warm blanket, the best that there is.  A fathers love, a mothers, a brothers....the author of love itself, sitting at a camfire, eating His fish.  Resting, watching, His eyes see through you, it is uncanny the power that is behind these eyes.  Sad eyes, compassionate, strong, and very powerful.

He invites you to sit beside Him, to eat His fish with Him, to be fed, loved.

What does He say to you my dear ones, what is He speaking in your heart?  How do you feel, that He invites you to Him, as you are, knowing it is the heart of you that is so precious, so real.

What do you ask Him, what do you want?  Are you afraid?  Are you mad?  Are you overjoyed that He is in our forest?  Is He your friend?  Your protector?  The one that stands in front of you when the legalists want to strike?  As if they would dare, once they see those eyes.

What is He saying, He sits beside you at the campfire, He looks into your widened eyes.

What do you hear?

Being trans, a complete deviation of who I was when I came from my mother's womb, weak when it comes to bad habits, foul language that I am occasionally ashamed of, I would ask God to make me right in His eyes and to give me the strength of character to change, He would always respond saying, "My grace is sufficient for you!" He has accepted me just as I am in spite of my flaws.

Ahhh there you are, come, let us dine. I love you. Do you love me? Then trust me, I have you in the palm of my hand.

Take comfort, and love these too. Now tell Me, who are your wonderful friends? I love them as much as I love you.

Show Me to them, share your gift. I wish to dine with them, to touch their hearts, and heal their wounds. It is not my desire that they be hurt. Bring me your friends, I want to touch them too.

Yep, A whole lot of layers to it. But the way my mind tends to work.

I wouldn't hear anything, because in all reality, I would be be far from Him, ashamed to even look in His direction. I would just wander around in the woods, in search of lost people, and guide them to where He is at so they can choose sit down and eat with Him.

Malachite, I think He'd be proud of the man you've become. You've got a good heart.

@ Satin I would probably just melt with all of the guilty I'd feel from my life. Even in the next life, I am hoping that my job will just be something menial liking polish the gate of His Kingdom because I honestly could see myself among the congregation of faithful disciples and followers of Him.

@ Pikachu I wish that would be the case, but the heart is very deceitful.

Maybe so, but I've been around a lot of people with deceitful hearts. I don't see that in you, Malachite. I believe you are a genuine and caring person at your core. *hugs*
