I searched Google (chrome) tonight for "non binary forum" and it was 3-4th down on the first page...

I kind of agree with what Metamorph has said in terms of how inadvertently exclusionary and potentially ingrown the sight name would appear to anyone doing a search. This isn't a criticism in any way of you Jacey, you are the genuine article when it comes to thoughtfulness and caring for the group as evidenced by being so proactive at creating a safe haven for all, it's just that the site name may not reflect all that is available to trans folk of different stripes. Perhaps it is possible to get a footnote added to the site name to that effect? I dunno, I'm extremely tech challenged, just a thought! (Chris I thought it was Bob Marley, but I may be mistaken you have to give me a pass on that as I'm older than dirt and am not sure of much anymore)

Like a subtitle under the Non-Binary Forum on the forum banner at the top of the page?

Ack, I didn't think the new title though properly, it excludes folks who don't identify as transgender.

Like a subtitle under the Non-Binary Forum on the forum banner at the top of the page? Yes if it's possible to make it clear that it is a place where all transgender expressions are welcomed. I wouldn't necessary include non-trans folk in that welcome, they usually find their way to such sites out of curiosity, looking for kink or to become a troll of some sort.

How about wherever the wind takes us? Let it be an adventure and maybe let it grow on its own.

How about wherever the wind takes us? Let it be an adventure and maybe let it grow on its own. Yup. And we need to just fart around with it. This New forum is just awesome. Finally feel free, totally wild and ready to fly. Jayce how did you know we would come? Quite the vision dear one.

jacey didn't know we would come. thwy only hoped we would, and did what was necessary in case someone wanted a new home. i was also wanting to create a new forum, and am happy that jacey beat me to it (by only one day even). of course i'd rather be a member of jacey's forum than try to make one of my own. i couldn't even have thought of something as simple as calling the forum "non-binary".
happy to be searchable!

Absolutely agree that we need to demonstrate that we are completely welcoming whether folk are non binary or not. I think there may be many whose 'Eureka' moment when they 'discovered' they were binary trans (MTF or FTM) was followed by continuing discomfort and concern right up until the point that they considered the possibility that they were more than a binary - it would be good to be there for these folk, their friends and those just wishing to understand the incredible diversity that is the human condition.
Safe travels
Aisla

It's my perspective that a forum comprised of adults should not have rules and regulations in place that would be more appropriate for ages 16 and under. All posts and comments should be respectful and sensible rather than reactionary, but no one should be reprimanded or banned for using expletives (unless these words are being used obnoxiously). I've been in so many different forums with the most ridiculously strict moderation terms, and that's seriously unnecessary. Everyone should be able to speak freely and passionately without being hostile. If anything said is initially interpreted as hostile, ask the author if that is the case. Sometimes people word things that can come across a certain way when they didn't mean it that way. Conflicting opinions can be discussed maturely and rationally. The only time anyone should be warned or banned is by repeated deliberation of negativity. When too many rules are in place it constricts expression, and we get enough of that already in the real world.
