what does authenticity mean to you?

I really never get drunk, can't stand the out of control feeling, it's what makes me not care for drugs of any kind. One thing is that I do like to get a slight buzz occasionally which only entails about two shots and I'm done. Because I am of Norwegian/Finnish extraction and my younger brother spent forty years of his life being blotto, I know what the propensities are and so several years ago I attended AA meetings daily for a week, but felt that the cloud of blue smoke would no doubt kill me long before any alcohol would. There were some alcoholic women whose curious advances along with the smoke that drove me away. I bought the Big Book and read it through, said amen to that and occasionally re-read chapter five around holidays and special occasions just for a tune-up.
