Hiya,
I just got my surgery date. It's September. I feel like it's not real. Exited, scared. Just needed to get it out.

Kira & Patty, congrats on your surgery dates! It must be exciting to have it all set in motion Recovery will be brutal, no doubt, but it will be worth it in the end. Best of luck!

It has been a while since they updated. So Jayce. It may not be totally worth it. I hope they are both OK though. I think I'm pretty good who I am now. So I got a Peenie. LOL. That don't define me. I really don't think I want to go in to it too much but I am so afraid of such a big change. WTF am I? Hell I love a gay guy. In a relationship with a bi guy that I love. Shit life sux sometimes or is it just pretty good?

I remembered my password that is a miracle in itself. DCW CONGRATS on finding your way I knew you could. On Sept 17 I had partial FFS ,from nose up, brows, eye sockets, forehead and some other stuff, also my upper lip was lifted so I no longer bite my lips. Kind of uncomfortable but not a big deal, just looks scary right now but I was that way to begin with.GCS is still Dec 8th and is by the same team who did my face and they are super. Patty

Yay!
I do still want BA and FFS. I have a few issues with my wife on that front (she struggles, and saying things like but there are women who are happy with small breasts.)

DCW - You and you alone only know what body you will be happy with. I know a transgender woman who had breasts from estrogen, she wanted BA, she had many people telling her that her breasts were perfect and suited her slender frame. She disregarded them (as she should!) and went ahead with the procedure. The recovery was gruelling but since recovering, she has blossomed, extremely happy and full of confidence. Your wife will adjust, given patience and time. Once she sees how much happier and comfortable you are after BA, she will come around and be supportive. Kira - Gosh, I can remember top surgery like it was yesterday, the recovery days seemed to drag on forever. Post-op depression could rear its ugly head but hang in there, this part of recovery won't last forever and eventually you will be back on your feet. Please take care of yourself and I hope all heals up swimmingly well. If complications arise, I hope they are dealt with swiftly to lessen the length of down-time. Keep us updated when possible, Kira! We are thinking of you

Hiya, so I had complications large heamatoma and internal bleeding. After a scary start and some extra stuff to deal with like going back into theatre for a few hours, then it's turned around. I still feel good, it needed doing, it has risks... Just hoping it hasn't has a permanent effect. They say it shouldn't have, but there is a problem with distortion now due to where the blood went and how much I bled out.
I may need a revision in 12 months. They should tell me in a year. I won't lie, I was so scared after coming out of theatre, the first time. I could tell something was wrong, but getting them to believe me was a job. It was obvious when then finally undressed it tho. I was sobbing and sobbing. Still, they sorted it, we're open and honest about it, apologised (i respect that much more than ass covering)
Overall a good job well done I think. Just I was one to pull one if the shorter straws.
Can't wait to be able to stand up!
Xx

That sounds terrifying, I can't imagine how you must have felt when they initially didn't believe you. I'm glad they finally did and apologised afterwards. Sometimes, doctors just have to trust the patient's "There's something wrong." gut instinct, it can be a life-saver.
Be gentle with yourself while healing, we all will be thinking of you and hoping all goes well from here on out.
