DF Love this. Absolutely brilliant. Your tattoos seem to capture and express your spirit and identity. I know some folk choose tats because they are pretty, they remind them of a person or of a place, or make a political statement but for me, personal symbolism is key. It feels like choosing a name. This will be in the face of some family push back and it is important to me which is sort of surprising given my fairly conservative life. Safe travels Aisla The Navy probably didn't want you tattooing your battleship or aircraft carrier across your chest. How about... Mom

Well obviously I have tattoos. But not many. I'm pretty obsessive about being sure I want the thing before I get it done.

This is one of my favourites, obviously highly visible, but I'd already crossed that line when I had these done.

Am thinking pain, being close to the bones of the hand. Did you put xylocaine or similar on the skin prior, or take a pain killer?

It didn't hurt that much, dot work tattoos tend not to. Itched like hell when it was healing though. I've never used pain killer when getting ink done

I have no tattoo's yet but when the canvas grows large enough I will have the transgender emblem on the right side just above the point. Kelly I understand how you feel I cry just thinking about ever losing Kathy she is my life.
