I've read elsewhere that using liquid foundation works great at covering beard stubble. While this is true, it looks horrible on me because I have a few deep acne pits, and it makes them more obvious, and also obvious that I'm wearing foundation. Any ideas on this?

At the suggestion of my torturer (laser girl, lol, same things isn't it?!), I been using a bb cream now for a bit, mostly everyday unless I am feeling lazy. It doesn't completely hide the remaining facial hair I have but definitely makes it a lot less noticeable, and that works for me for now. A lady customer commented a few days ago that I had a really close, nice shave, lol, guess that's pretty good. Been wearing to work and most of the time now and haven't gotten called out on wearing makeup or anything yet, guess it isn't noticeable, idk? Not out to most either. If people knew I imagine I would get some shit tho about it but hasn't happened so taking it that people don't know. Maybe look into that? Could be just a wrong brand/color for you too, it's all pretty much trial and error.

I was thinking about stage makeup...there are times I want to hide that 1 mm mustache. So far base and blush overlay does it.
This genderflexing is really fun.

I wish I could offer more advice on this thread but the only things I've learned in thirty years is that yellow concealer works best to cover eyebags/shadows and green concealer works best on burst veins/red cheeks before you apply foundation. I've also heard that if you're doing dramatic eye make up to do much less on the lips (personally I hate the feel of lipstick/lip paint/lipgloss so it's never really a problem for me). False eyelashes are good for making your eyes look bigger, but I find them so fiddly I just can't put them on. I usually just do concealer/foundation/black mascara/green eyeliner as the go-to look; but I'll usually only wear make up 2 days out of 7 a week.

I never did concealer. I use base. And i dont have a beard or goatee or mustache anymore. I could if i wished and often have two to three days growth. I use makeup subtly, and it works really well. But i only use it when stealth binary female. Which isnt often anymore. Takes me 5 to 10 mins to put h'er face on. Trinity.

And using orange lipstick is a great way to neutralise any 5 o clock shadow on a clean-shaven face so when foundation goes on top, it disappears!

I don't wear makeup in public (excepting Halloween), but I apply it with reckless abandon in private.
One of my favorite things to play with is eye makeup. I love anything that can make my eyes look bigger. A common mistake folks make is to line their eyes all the way around. A dark line on the top lash line looks great, but the bottom lashes don't really need it - it can really shrink the look of the eyes.
Recently, I've taken to using white liner in my lower waterline. Then, I use a wedge brush to apply just a hint of whatever eyeshadow I'm using on the outer half of my lower lash line. Paired with a black line on the top lash line, it really makes my eyes pop and look larger. Curl the lashes, add mascara, and it looks BEAUTIFUL.
This is a really fun thread!

How do you get the white liner to stay though? If I put anything there, or even any eyeliner around the bottom lashes - even if it's waterproof, even if I use setting spray, within minutes my eyes water and it's all half way down my face! :')

I've not had that problem, although I'll admit that any liner I put in the waterline wears off after a couple of hours. I tend to use L'Oreal eye makeup products, but I don't know if that makes any difference. In a pinch, the next time the liner starts dripping down your face, just make moaning noises and pretend that you're a zombie. No one will take notice.

Okay so I’m going to a goth night at this club tomorrow night, and I wanna try hiding 5oclock shadow With makeup (mine still shows even after shaving) Can I use orange eyeshadow over my beard then foundation over it and blend it in to make it less noticeable?

Orange underneath can help a lot, though I've been using orangeish blush. Shimmer might be an issue with eyeshadow, though not all are shiny.
I don't really blend it in exactly, just put the orange blush on, then liquid foundation, then powder over that.

Hey Valerie! This video may help you, I used it to help me pass safely at a nightclub! She uses orange lipstick to hide the shadow, I believe she said she would’ve used orange matte eyeshadow but she ran out so lipstick was still a good alternative. Hope this helps!
