Does anyone have a recommendation for a hi low shirt? Not looking for anything fancy right now but just looking for something black or white with short tails that I can wear untucked over a t shirt or tank top. Larger sizes needed. I was looking at the avenue but they didn't have any shirts that I could find.
Thanks in advance

So I did some shopping (with my wife's consent) and picked up a couple of things that won't outwardly bother her. Underwear, a body shaper and a ring. Starting off small and inconspicuous but it was really satisfying making that first step.
Should be coming in the mail in a few days. Can't wait for them to arrive. My wife said that it was ok since I wouldn't be broadcasting to the world at this point. But she knows and is softening to the idea of what path I am exploring.
Like I said, a little bit at a time and nothing over what she can handle.

A person who defines her gender as being a woman, wearing mens clothes is....
a woman.
Or a full transition androgyne wearing mens clothes outside and womens clothes underneath is....
an androgyne.
My external appearance is not as important as knowing who I am, and how i feel. Wives generally worry about social stuff.
Over time that can relax, but sometimes it does not.
My wife fears me on the street sh'e. I understand this and don't walk out the door outwardly sh'e going to my trans AA meetings.
However, 4 stops later on the train, i am full passing trans woman.
As an androgyne, I can express any gender possibility on the spectrum, including simultaneously, and still be true to myself.
Congrats. Having your wife in the loop was smart, imo.
I don't hide from the wife. It helps avoid mistrust and rebuilds the gap from the percieved betrayal of not being able to end being trans.

I definitely agree with Trinity. It's not the clothing that makes a man or woman but rather the human Psyche.
As for clothing, jewelry and shoes you can always watch QVC or HSN if you're in the states. LOL, a lot of time the bigger sizes sell our quicker than the smaller sizes so either there are a lot of bigger cis women out there that are too embarrassed of their sizes to shop in traditional venues or... There are a lot of us shopping from there. I for one do a lot because a lot of times my sizes aren't available in the traditional stores. I wear 9 1/2 shoes in US sizes but most stores do not order enough and the few they do order have been gobbled up by larger footed cis women or other trans women. The same with rings, necklaces and other articles that are harder to find. Clothing ain't that big of a deal though. I may be a little bigger but I am most definitely not the biggest or even tallest woman out there and that is Cis gendered included.

I do agree it's not the clothing that makes a man or a women. That was evident by yesterdays issues I was having. I am just excited for my first purchase It's something that I have looked forward to for a while. To a certain extent it's something that will help me bring out the side of my identity that has been suppressed for so long. I do get what you are saying though and the QVC idea is great ! I will look into that. Still trying to figure out the sizes for me. Although I am dropping weight fast so I should probably plan for that.

The very first time I bought nail polish I actually asked a woman what color coral was because that was what my "girlfriend" wanted. I knew of course. I was scared shitless when I checked out with just nail polish and nail polish remover. The lady checking me out didn't even look sideways. Then it was makeup and another excuse. Then it was clothes and then I became comfortable enough to try on shoes in public. In the very beginning it was kind of a thrill but then just felt normal. Just remember this is the first step. Then next will be easier and the next easier still and then it will become just normal. For clothing I would just wait until I plateaued or got to the weight I wanted.

yes it is exciting. Yeah that and there is a certain element of danger of being found out or anxiety of being asked. Personally I would rather someone nonchalantly ask me if I am trans than me having to explain it to them. But shopping it seems you either get some looks or some confusion or just a normal person buying products. Just remember that these are businesses and if they offend you and we go public as LGBT or T unfriendly then their business will suffer so... So Kohls, TJ Maxx, Dillards, Pennys, Sacks, Old Navy and all the other stores will probably say nothing to you. People in line behind you or in front of you may think shit but... What can they do? Chances are they won't say shit either.

I personally enjoy thrift stores the best! Clothing is cheaper, and it just doesn't really seem like as much of a real big deal at thrift stores.
I bought my first few feminine clothing at goodwill last month! I got two women jeans, and a skirt.
Believe me it was completely nerve wrecking, and it took me a while to be daring to go into women jeans section, and when I finally did go looking through, no one cared, or gave me any looks, a woman smiled at me, and I tried quite a few jeans on because I had no idea what size i was in women. And omg the sizes are all so confusing!! Like if you'll fit in one size and try finding more of that size then the other pants of that size don't fit, and like omfg it was a frustrating experience!! Men jeans are easier to freaking size, and find.
Then I braved looking into skirts section and tried some on. And of course at check out it went well, and cashier as she checked me out, said "I bet these would look cute on you" so it was a positive experience my first time actually braving, and trying some on!!
Although, i haven't worn skirt out in public... A little too nervous to do that! Idk if I could... Although, I did just order off Amazon some gaff underwear! Soo I'll have to try on my outfit I have planned first and see how it looks!
But anyways I been thinking of wearing fishnets, skirt, black tank top, a vest hoodie over it, and either vans or black heeled boots! Hmmm I could probably pull this outfit off safely heading to the dragshow this month, but I wouldn't know about the walk over to the bar... Hmmm...

Yeah I know thrift stores are a good place and yeah it helps people especially the Salvation Army and Goodwill but I have a weird thing about wearing used clothing from people I do not know closely. A sight called Laura's Playground is a good one LGBT boutiques close to you in which you can find bigger sizes and LGBT specific articles.

So I got my first set of clothing undies, body shaper and a ring. The undies fit so nice a lot better than men's boxer brief. Really hugging the butt. I am wearing them today and even though nobody knows I do. And it has made me feel comfortable in public to act a little more femme. The shaper is probably a size too small but that's great motivation to keep up the weight loss with good eating, exercise , and my favorite hiking. Should be able to fit in it by the fall. And damn does it feel good. Nice fabric and smooooooth. The ring is a little bigger than I hoped but still looks fabulous. Mmmmmmm it's a good day

OMFG the freaking chafing because nothing male seems to fit right or tight enough.
