Hi Ellie! I'm up here in the land of the windchill factor, as well. But here in MN, we get that really cold wind coming down from Canada right after the Dakotas. It's been pretty warm, feels like spring, but that's about to end again. Yesterday coming back from the cities, it was warm enough to melt most of the left over snow, but cold enough to let it turn into a fog that was so thick, had to use the windshield wipers to be able to see that 50 ft ahead of us. So much for spring, it's going back to winter and sub 0F at night again. But like they have said, pull up a chair and take any place you want at the table. The people here will keep anyone warm enough, just kinda the way they are. Ativan

Hi Ativan yeah, you are actually farther north in MN than I am here in southern ON. I'm about two hours from Detroit. It just seems colder here because we are using SI units. -10oC sounds colder than it really is (14oF) but I guess that's all moot, 'cause it's plenty warm in here -e

Funny because I live in the PNW in northernmost part of the same latitude as Ellie and Ativan and we have the mildest weather, it's 45 degrees F at the moment (10:34AM) and is expected to be around 55 degrees this afternoon.

This time, the cold slid off the top of the world and headed farther east. Polar bears or something like that may have caused it. We got's us some above freezing days at the far end of the ten day forecast coming my way. Not that it will ever happen, I tend to look at those days that are tend days or so out there and figure that if the forecast for two days from now is a fifty-fifty chance of correct, those ones out there at ten days are probably going to go the other way. Maybe rainbows and a sunny sunset, but probably just more cold sliding down off the side of the planet.
