being transgender, is an odd thing to me. or should i rather say "being transgender".
it sounds like such a big deal. which it of course is. it's talk about me and you, after all. who we are.
trangender is often confused with a way of life, a goal to reach, a walk to walk. there is this too, living life can only be done by walking the walk.
but there is one thing that i think often escapes the picture. and that is how being trans is just the same as being me. man or woman or both or something else or neither.
in the end i am just a person who happens to be trans. living means being trans. not being trans means stopping to breathe. it's not a path to choose or not, even though transition can be chosen to do or not do.
it's a big deal to be alive.
i don't know where i'm going with this. can anyone help me out?

We are, we live, we search out our truth, our core. We bond together with ties deeper than all things, we find ourselves, we question, we survive.
We are diamonds.

I feel like I am still new to all this trans stuff in many ways. I am less than a year on my journey. Well, I guess that depends on where you say my journey begins. I'm less than a year, or about 3 years or about ...41 years or about 44 years. heh. Anyway, because living as ftm is so new, it's a big thing in my life. But it's also very small. And I feel like sometimes it is supposed to be the defining thing. It's really not.
I just spent a silly amount of time looking at my peach fuzz mustache and beard start (heh, I'm a dork). I'm at a frustrating point for many things. This trans stuff is big in my life, but there are other things much bigger, even when it looms large.
Hmm... I am rambling.

i can only imagine how that feels like, hrt still seems way off for me. i thought of it as the solution to it all for a whilethat was a little taxing. finging the solution is actually just me, was a relief. i am the biggest thing in my life. trans is part of me, so of course it's important. but it really is just me, and something that doesn't define me except for being an i dication of how certain types of discomfort can be treated.
i'm rambling too, but i believe this is often the most effective ways of figuring out what i'm actually really thinking.

Being transgender is something I never would have considered in the past as it was diametrically opposed to any of my thinking for a very long time when one day something just clicked in my brain and a light went on. So over the last twenty years plus months I have had plenty of time for introspection and consideration of my motives for a lot of stuff. One thing about this whole phenomena that has continually come to mind is the whole business of evolution.
Now the term itself has been widely argued back and forth by Creationists vs Evolutionists both of whom have an agenda, and when any group has an agenda they invariably also have moderate to sever tunnel vision and closed minds refusing to examine or consider any aspect of the opposing line of thought. Once I realized that and stepped outside of the constraints of that kind of thinking, I began to realize that in a sense both disciplines were partially right but had been missing the point entirely because of their pessimistic attitude towards the other line of thought. I have concluded as more of a common sense observation of the ever changing universe including those of animal and human characteristics, that Creation and Evolution work together hand in hand and that we are in fact all part of an ongoing phase of human evolution, in fact we may be on the leading cusp of an entirely new form of humanity exploding into existence.

Hmm... That's a pretty interesting way of looking at it. I dunno if society at large will change its views on gender anytime soon, though. Maybe I'm just pessimistic.

It may not be a matter of choice for them eventually. I had never thought that the former Soviet Union would fall or that the Berlin wall would come down but it all happened in a matter of weeks, probably because we are living in an age of high speed information which has effectively made world attitudes and consensus much more pliable.

When you people ramble, I learn a truth or two, but "the leading cusp of an entirely new form of humanity exploding into existence." I dunno about that, I'm no more evolved than the nearest fruit fly, and am only usually on the cusp of finding something tasty to eat. I know you are pulling my leg, you are far from being a tunnelvisionist!
I like coining new words, seems like my computer does too as it respells everything to mean other than which I intended which brings to mind my belief that malevolent spirits use inanimate objects to make me curse and swear a lot and cause Miss Laura to get pissed at me. I digress....~Shan~

But things have to change. Have been warned that if I don't lose weight then diabetes is something that I had better accept. No more excuses, dodgy joints or not - it is exercise time, and yes as a fruit fly I learn from each and every person I meet.

Shan, I don't know how you type with that blasted auto-correct on. It drives me crazy. I'm sure there must be an option to turn it off in your browser's settings. I assume you're using Safari?

Auto correct. Let's try it.
Bullsheep. Bullbleep. Bullshop. Bull balls.
Oh bother, what next.
My friends I.am so filled with joy and laughter right now. My spirit soars. I am truly home.
Now if my brooms would just get bigger.

Yes, but then it forces me to edit what I've written and occasionally I find that I have to rephrase something or it would make no sense to anyone but me with a dyslexic mind, so it isn't such a bad feature and I'll leave it on.

Life is a wonderous thing. The way I see it we are just along for the ride. Evolution dictates which direction we travel. I definitely agree with Julie in that it is a spiritual, (not religious), psychological and biological event. I mean biologically our body's evolve and that in turn has a direct influence on our brains which in turn has a direct influence on our psychology. And the whole science of psychology stems from the Greek word Psyche or Soul so that is a spiritual in nature. Not religious in any means but spiritual nonetheless.
But one thing for sure life is a dynamic ordeal and changes. Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worst. All we can do is ride on and see where it takes us.
